Spirometry

The most common test used to diagnose asthma in people aged five years and above. Spirometry measures the forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), which is the amount (volume) of air you exhale and how quickly you exhale it. If the results are below normal for a person of your age, it may indicate that your airways are narrowed due to asthma or other causes.
